Only 6 more weeks of our 2023 CSA, the last delivery will be on December 13th!
Farm Update:
Tuesday night we got our first minus degree weather and that created a flurry of activity. We had to get all of our sensitive crops in before the cold weather including napa cabbage, fennel and kohlrabi. We have brussels sprouts, kale, swiss chard, spinach, lettuce, carrots, broccoli, and parsnips left to pick. The two big crops left to bring in are carrots and parsnips. The apples are pretty well done, we should finish apples today and then we will have drops to pick up that we sell to deer hunters. We have some piglets, Maggie’s daughter had some piglets last night. Mark and Courtney are just putting the finishing touches on a fence we built this year and we are going to bring over some sheep to Canard. This is part of the National Federal Government Living Lab Initiative.
