This week has been really hard for the TapRoot team! Hurricane Melissa hit Jamaica on Tuesday. I am sharing this post Patricia made on Facebook for anyone who isn’t on there.
The reality is, our Nova Scotia grown food supply is in large part possible because of Nova Scotian’s like you and our Jamaican farmers like Babo, Kingsley, Linden, Bolo, Cocotea, Martel, Chris, Patrick, the list goes on of our precious and hard working team members. Some have not heard yet from family. Some know the losses. The impact, for many of them, is losing everything they have worked for, invested in. We are all inundated with requests because the needs everywhere are becoming more and more and more serious. We know not everyone can help financially.
