Sprouts!

Holly is our Sprout Production Lead! We delivery weekly wholesale orders to the Metro Area to Sobeys, local retailers and restaurants. Each week Holly starts/plant the sprouts on Wednesday, every day the sprouts require to be rinsed twice a day. On Saturday the sprouts have to be spilt, this is where we divide the weight of the bucket by the number of buckets we require. Each sprout variety has a different number of buckets. On Tuesday we hull the sprouts, this is where we have to remove any hulls from each bucket. Wednesday is packing/harvest day, we take the sprouts from the buckets and fill our clamshells for delivery on Thursday. Crunchy Bean needs less time to sprout, we start that on Sunday for harvest on Wednesday, while the other 3 varieties Sandwich Booster, Lively Lentil and Broccoli Blend take a week, Wednesday to Wednesday.
