Farm Update

We had a really great week weather wise, we got a lot of land prepped. We started planting our transplants (leeks and celeriac). There are lots of leeks this year! We are going to start cultivating today, we want to beat the weeds this year. We have a dedicated person to cultivation this year. We are looking forward to some rain this weekend. The cherries are in absolute full bloom as of about three days ago and they look wonderful! Chris is protecting them from a disease black rot, it gets inside the flower and shows its ugly face at harvest time. Strawberries are all in full bloom too and we are busy weeding them today!

Josh has been doing the home deliveries and two new pick ups, it has been two challenging Thursdays with heavy traffic between Cole Harbour and Middle Sackville.

Have a nice weekend!
