Thanks to all who came out to help harvest garlic and pick cherries.
Here is a picture of all the good things that went on this weekend.
Garlic harvesting, first of the cherry tomato picking, fresh beans and peas, and happy faces covered in cherry juice :)
Calling all weeders!
Here's a great opportunity to work for a few weeks and make some cash. It's much better weeding with friends so grab some and come work with us.
We are looking to hire people to weed the crops. We have at least 3-4 weeks of work for a crew of about 10-15 people. The work day starts at 8 AM and goes until 5 PM Monday - Saturday. We can accommodate 1/2 days in mornings (8AM-12PM). Starting August 1. Minimum wage. Please email me firstname.lastname@example.org or call 902.542.3277 to sign up for work. Please bring a resume and all relevant details (SIN, DOB, Address). We pay every two weeks, but for this shorter duration we will pay at the end of day Friday each week. Location: 451 Canard Street.
Don't forget your hat and water bottle!
Here is a recipe that Denise (who was the recipe queen) said was absolutely great. Fritters are pretty quick to make up, and so yummy.
Zucchini, Feta, and Spinach Fritters with Garlic Tzatziki.
Many thanks and have a great week!
