Swiss chard is coming along, and will be ready in the next few weeks.
The shares have been posted and we are looking forward to a cool Saturday to harvest for next weeks shares. We have lots of beet greens coming on, so we are putting a bunch and a half in the shares this week. I've included a recipe for a basic sauteed beet greens, a great place to start if you don't cook with beet greens often. When the beets at the end of the bunches are still small I include those in with the greens as well. Sauteed Beet Greens with garlic and olive oil.
It's not too late to come to the field walk this Sunday. Just meet at the farm, 1736 Church Street, at 1:30 PM and we will set off for a walk around the property. It may be muddy, depending on the rain we get tomorrow, so best to bring some rubber boots!

Field Walk with your TapRoot Farmers
Sunday, June 18th, 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM
Join us for our third field walk with Patricia and Josh of TapRoot farms. Join us as we wander through the fields, tunnels, greenhouses, and animals at 1736 Church Street. Come back throughout the year and see how much the farm changes, season to season.
Guided tour starts at 1:30 PM. Wear appropriate clothing and footwear for walking through fields. We will walk rain or shine. Large wheeled stroller or backpacks are best. For our on farm food safety it's best to leave the four legged friends at home.
