Good Evening CSA Members,
We got back yesterday from the ACORN conference feeling totally reinvigorated. The conference was wonderful. ACORN for those of you who haven't heard before is Atlantic Canadian Organic Regional Network. It is our organic hot spot of work here in Atlantic Canada. The conference started on Wednesday evening last week and went until Saturday afternoon.
Now, back home settling into the fact that winter has set in. Josh has been working all day getting storage crops into the coolers and I think he is quite concerned about where the rest will go....the space is filling up fast. Yikes!
I need some help sorting out the holiday delivery schedules. Could you please weigh in on what you would prefer.....
In past years we have done a double delivery the week before Christmas and then we take the week of Christmas off. This year Christmas and New years fall on challenging days for the delivery schedules. For those of you who do not observe Christmas, I recognize this will be a disruption in your service.
Okay so here is what we propose.
Dec 17 - 22 We delivery two weeks worth of shares. Including the meat shares for the week of Dec 24th. The double up of eggs will come the following week.
Dec 29th (Saturday) 10AM - 12 AM we will delivery all of the Halifax January 1 deliveries to the Grainery - we will park on the street and distribute to from the truck. From 12:30 PM - 2 PM we will delivery all of the Dartmouth December 31st deliveries to the Hawthorne location.
Then on January 2nd all regular deliveries will resume.
What do you think??? Will this work?
Patricia and Josh
