TapRoot Fibre Lab is an innovative start-up company in the Annapolis Valley seeking a full-time Marketing and Communications Specialist.
TapRoot Fibre Lab is the only company in North America devoted to creating long line flax fibre processing equipment on a scale that can generate localized economic growth in smaller and rural communities. We are designing, prototyping, and building small-scale processing equipment to transform retted flax to fine linen yarn. This is a new market.
Marketing and Communications Specialist
This is a full-time, term position for a minimum of six months. Starts immediately.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Become familiar with TapRoot Fibre Lab products and services
Carry out market research
Identify target markets and define customer profile
Seek out and develop client relationships
Identify strategic partnerships
Develop marketing strategies and a plan of action
Create social and digital media profile
Develop budget for marketing activities
FIELD OF STUDIES
Applicants should be graduates of a recognized business training program (BBA, BComm, Bmgmt, NSCC Business Administration diploma) with a concentration in Marketing.
be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or persons who have been granted refugee status in Canada;
be between 15 and 30 years old (inclusive);
have graduated from a post-secondary institution;
be legally entitled to work according to relevant provincial legislation and regulations; and
be a first-time youth participant in a placement of the Career Focus Program of the Youth Employment Strategy.
