TapRoot Farms Meat share is made up of licensed free range chickens, pastured pork and pastured beef. All our animals are fed a non GMO grain diet locally grown for us by a neighbouring farmer and is always free of additives and antibiotics.

If we need to buy in meat from other farmers in order to ensure a variety throughout the year we will be sure to source it from farms who have the same growing practices as us.

Full Year - value is $25 per week for 48 weeks or $1200 for the full year

Half Year - value is $25 per week for 24 weeks or $600 for the full year

Organic eggs share for CSA membership

Our hens eat non gmo grain grown in the Annapolis Valley. They spend as much time as they wish outside and are closed up at night to keep them safe from predators.

The cost is $7 per dozen or $4 per 1/2 dozen

$7 per week for 48 weeks = $336

$4 per week for 48 weeks = $192

Egg shares are limited in number by how many full monty shares we sell.

Organic fruis share for CSA membership

Noggins Corner is where Patricia grew up. Her family farms lots of delicious fruit that we get to eat year round.

Full Year - share is valued at $10 per week for 48 weeks = $480

Half Year - Share is valued at $10 per week for 24 weeks - $240

During the summer and fall you can expect lots of berries, various varieties of apples, pears, plums, peaches, etc. In the winter you can expect lots of apples, cranberries, cider, jams and pears.

This share is not organic. Dad uses current industry standards of integrated pest management and preventative practices to manage the orchards. It is a family business with my brother in law Dwaine managing the orchards and sister Carolyn running many aspects of the business. And you will find Dad (Andrew) at Seaport each week. Beth (Dad's spouse) runs the corn maze and school tours. Not to mention my grandparents are out and about the farm often and still live on the farm.

NSF Cheques

A charge of $30 will be applied to your account for NSF cheques. We don't like it any more than you do but it takes us time to deal with and we incur the NSF fee from the bank, so we need to recoup these costs.

What if I don't want to continue?

Please seriously consider if this is the right step for you and your family.  If you change your mind and find the CSA is not working out for you there are two options (refunds are not available):

1) Ask a friend, colleague or family member to take it over for you OR 2) donate it to a family in need/foodbank

As we share the season and the realities of farming with you, your commitment is critical to our ability to carry on into the next year.

Please read over all of the details, ask questions, and discuss joining the CSA with your family prior to registration to be sure you are committed.
